The location of the lodge is fantastic. It is situated right by a river, providing a beautiful view from the rooms. The cabins are spacious and some even have lovely decks to relax on. One of the best aspects is the bird-watching opportunities. The lunch area offers a great spot to view various bird species, including tanagers and woodpeckers. Additionally, there was a tree-climbing lizard, which was really cool to see.
The staff's English proficiency was not very good. This made communication a bit challenging at times.

The staff working at the hotel were very kind and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They even brought a special tea for one of us who was feeling sick. The location of the hotel was perfect, situated by a beautiful river and with easy access to the town. The grounds of the hotel were also well-maintained and offered a peaceful atmosphere. Despite the negative aspects of our stay, we still appreciated the efforts of the staff and the overall ambiance of the hotel.
The room we stayed in was not up to the same standard as the other rooms on the property. The beds were small and uncomfortable, and the bathroom was a major issue.

The location was great, within walking distance of town and yet felt private and secluded. The river was a beautiful and relaxing spot to unwind. The bed swing in our room was amazing, it was so soothing to swing while overlooking the river. The complimentary breakfast served in the tree house overlooking the river was a delightful experience.
There were some communication issues with the staff. It would have been helpful if some of them spoke a little English or provided information about tours in English.

I stayed at Saguamby Mindo Lodge for 4 nights and it was perfect! The location is ideal, with a beautiful setting by the river and a short walk to town. The staff was incredibly friendly and generous. My cabin was right by the rolling stream, with a screened room that kept the mosquitoes away. The soaking tub with jets and hot water was a luxurious touch. The dinners were absolutely delicious, with authentic Ecuadorian cuisine. The breakfasts were amazing, with a fresh variety of tropical fruit salad and freshly made juices. There were also plenty of activities to enjoy, like birding and hiking. The owners of the hotel, Roberto, his wife, and their son Adrian, made our stay truly special. They took great care of us and were fascinating to talk to. I had a peaceful and adventurous experience at Saguamby Mindo Lodge.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel was perfect, with easy access to waterfalls, butterfly gardens, and bird watching hikes. The soothing sounds of the nearby river made for a peaceful and tranquil stay. The staff at the hotel were extremely accommodating and welcoming, making arrangements for us and happily modifying them on request. The breakfast provided was delicious and we enjoyed watching the many bird species at the feeders while dining.
The kitchen facilities could have been better equipped with more cooking pots, pans, and cutlery. The water flow in the shower was not very strong, which made the experience less enjoyable.

This place is fantastic! The owner Adrian went out of his way to make us feel at home, offering great service and helping us with our travel plans. The room/suite with spa was luxurious, spacious, and very clean. It was worth every dollar. The staff was kind, friendly, and thoughtful, addressing my gluten intolerance by preparing a special meal. Roberto and Adrian both speak English well and even offered transportation services from and to other destinations. The location by the small river was beautiful, with countless birds and flowering bushes. The hammock in the trees was a lovely touch.
We felt so at home here that there was no reason to complain. Everything was perfect!

We had an amazing stay at a beautiful family-run hotel surrounded by nature. The owners, Roberto, his wife, and their son Adrian, were so nice and took great care of us. The hotel's location next to the Saguamby river made it the perfect place to relax. Our suite was spacious, well-decorated, and had a comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious, especially the exotic fruits tea from the garden. We even spotted wild toucans while enjoying our meal. We would highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to go back again soon! a truly unforgettable experience.

The staff at this hotel were absolutely amazing! They were kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. the breakfast served here was out of this world, with fresh and beautifully prepared dishes. the location of the hotel was also perfect, situated by a beautiful river and surrounded by lush gardens. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the river at night.
The facilities could use a little bit of improvement. It would have been helpful to have more practical amenities like clothes hooks or hangers in the rooms.
